Congratulations on completing this part of your Scouting journey! You have joined a group that includes Presidents, Congressmen, businessmen, scientist, military leaders, just to name a few. Now you looking to continue that journey by becoming a Boy Scout. We are excited that you're looking at BSA Troop 368. We have a troop that ranges from ages 11 to 17 years old and from different schools and packs around the area. Many of the Scouts come from the same Pack that you are in, so you already have some things in common. As you look at the different Troops in the area, you're invited to come to a few of our activities that we have planned and have traditionally invited Webelo Scouts to in preparation for their Arrow of Light award. Most of all, it is a chance for you to learn about the different troops
Also, feel free to attend one of our Troop meetings. We meet every Monday (except when there is no school). Our meeting place is Light of Christ Lutheran Church, 100 Hanson Road in Algonquin. We normally meet from 7:00 pm-8:15pm. We meet in the annex located downstairs on the right side entrance to the building. There is an entrance from the outside. We have planned special meetings to help Webelos complete their Scout Oath and Law requirements for Arrow of Light. Please join us on either October 25th or November 15th. Rock Climbing-- Northwall, Crystal Lake Illinois Sunday, December 5, 2010 1:00-3:30pm
We invite you to enjoy the experience of rock climbing. Whether you've done it or not, there is always the thrill of securing lines to yourself and climbing up the face of the rock. We will be there to help you learn about the equipment, what are the safety requirements, and how to climb! It is a blast!!! Please let us know if you're interested in going by sending us an email containing your name, pack and phone number.

Troop 368 Thanksgiving Feast-- The Hollows, Cary Illinois November 13-14, 2010 This is one of our most fun outings! We invite Webelo Scouts and their parents, along with Troop 368 parents and family members to come break bread with us as we demonstrate how to make all of the Thanksgiving fixin's the Boy Scout way. This is also an opportunity for you and your parent to camp out with the Troop on Saturday night November 14th! If you are spending the night, a parent or legal guardian must spend the night as well. Bring your tent, sleeping gear (sleeping pad) and anything you want to also bring. We'll have almost any camping gear you'll need. except for personal gear---check out our typical camping list. However, if you've completed your Arrow of Light requirement for the overnight part, we still invite you to come anytime Saturday to spend the day with the Troop and enjoy a great meal and have a ton of fun. If you are interested on attending please let us know by sending an email to Thanksgiving Registration. Please register by October 31st. Remember to include your name, parents name, phone number, pack number and how many people will be attending with you. Also let us know if you'll be spending the night or just coming on Saturday. Our activities begin at 11am on Saturday including orientering, fire building, Scout crafts, games. Don't miss out and try to be there by 11am. There is no cost for Webelo Scouts and their families. Archery Shooting Cimmaron Archery Pro Shop, Richmond IL Sunday, October 23, 2010 2:00-4:00pm It's Boy Scouts, so it must be ARCHERY SHOOTING! Come join us for some fun at learning one of the oldest traditions in competition sports. From the earliest of ages, the bow and the arrow have been instruments that brought many a meal to early man and was also use to see who the best archer of the clan was. During this time, our Adult leaders will be able to spend time with you as our Scouts help Webelos learn about Boy Scouting and go over some of the areas that they'll need to know for their Arrow of Light Award. |
